After experiencing New England's Blizzard of '78, the warmth of a New Orleans travel-nurse assignment seemed like a good way to spend the following winter. Thus began 20 wonderful years of Big Easy living. In mid-October of 1998, a western move was made from New Orleans to Austin for a decade spent deep in the heart of Texas. Anyone passing through should make it a point to catch the wonderful live music scene found in central Texas. During my tenure drumming with legendary folk singer Glenn Yarbrough, I continued performing and recording with various Texas and New Orleans bands, and I am guest percussionist on the Limeliters recently released album, 'Right From The Start’. Meanwhile, frequent musical visits back to the Big Easy help keep the musical gumbo percolating. 2011 marked my 32nd consecutive Mardi Gras spent in New Orleans. Laissez le Bon Ton Roulez!
